Stein Ingebrigtsen was born in Namsos, Norway.  He started his recording career in 1968 and have since then passed the 1 million unit sales in Norway (5 mill. Inb). He has also been successful in 5 other languages (Swedish, German, English, Spanish and Italien).

No doubt he got his musical heritage from his father who played the violin for many years with a symphony orchestra in Chicago. Stein passed the heritage it on to his own son Christian Ingebrigtsen who became a profile in the successful British group A1, besides having a solid career as songwriter, performer, producer.
