IT WAS 50 YEARS AGO...
In 1966 the 4-some group 1-2-6 won a local talent contest in nothern town of Bodø. The prize was a trip to Oslo and recording sessions for RCA records. In Roger Arnhoff studio in mid-July 1966 the band started recording with the new employee Arve Sigvaldsen - who had worked for RCA only one week - and studio engineer Menu Bloch, who had come out of East Germany. The result of a day's work was the single "Veto" and "Little You". The recording was noticed by some of the capital's music critics, and led to that RCA would continue working with the band. Krogtoft composed several songs and sent demo recordings to Sigvaldsen in Oslo. Just before Easter 1967 stood 1-2-6 again in the studio. This time, a number of songs recorded.

"Graveyard Paradise" stood out as a great follow-up to "Veto". The recordings took place in two-track stereo equipment. The four boys Asbjørn Krogtoft (guitar), Gunvar Marken (guitar), Oddvar Hansen (bass) og Roger Saksenvik (drums), played all the instruments themselves. "Graveyard Paradise" was a major breakthrough for the group and was released in many countries.

1-2-6's only studio album "Curtains Falling" was recorded in 1967 and published in 1968. Asbjørn Krogtoft wrote all the songs. Part of the production was recorded at "three-track" and brought to Sweden where Arve Sigvaldsen added strings and extra chorus on some songs. Mats Olsson arranged and Lasse Samuelson played trumpet and Björn Ulvaeus (Abba) did vocals.
Despite the success, the band was dissolved in the same period as the LP album was going to be launched. Asbjørn "ASA" Krogtoft formed a new band Taboo, who made a couple of singles. Then he continued as a solo artist. You can follow ASA today.

1-2-6 has come together and played later on a few occasions.
Graveyard Paradise was elected the second best song of alle times (Dagbladet) .

From 19 November 2014, the "Curtains Falling" album are available* on all major web portals in digitalized and remastered edition.
* Released under license agreement with Arne Bendiksen Records AS
